Paper Crafting with Carol Duvall
Check out Carol Duvall's new (2007) book! I am mentioning this because one of my projects that I sent to her and she demonstrated on her HGTV show, was published on pages 156 & 157 and a few other places in the book. I have also seen websites that advertise the book, opened to my pages!
When I e-mailed Carol to thank her, she wrote back and said that at a book signing in Michigan, the employees used my paper flowers at a make n' take class.
They really are fun and easy to make.
Along with my project are over 45 others featured in this book.
It is available at The Paper Niche.
This concludes my 15 minutes of fame!

A very special page dedicated to my grandson, Joey, who was born blind.
A line from Elton John's song always brings me to tears...

A little about me.
Hi,
My name is Camille Petrocelli. I live in Plantation with my husband Rico ( a Councilman here in the city) and son, Dominic who is a senior at South Plantation.
I am a mother of six (five daughters & one son) and grandmother of ten!
I work at the Paper Niche part time and teach a class or two now and then.
Most of my life has been filled with art in many forms. I consider myself a mixed media artist, loving so many different things and never being able to devote all my time to just one craft. I just recently started to scrapbook (after 16 months of watching people at the Paper Niche). Tammy gave the design team a challenge to put together pages, cards, etc., from a kit that was assembled by someone else, filled with paper, embellishments, ribbons & more. After being in a creative slump for many months, I rose to the occasion and finished it in about two days ( I was amazed).
Working on the pages was like therapy. I had to dive deep inside and feel what I was putting on each page. I can say that I really get it now. I made five pages, 18 small cards, an acrylic wall hanging, a "paper purse" with four note cards and a bookmark. I had very little leftover from the kit and could have made a small acrylic book (my crop-a-dile is missing in action). I even made a project for the April class schedule! WOW!
Well, I guess I wrote more than just a "little about me". I will return with even more, soon.
Thanks to Krista for all her help in setting this up and to Tammy for her patience with me and to all the girls at the Paper Niche and Melissa & Leah for their inspiration.
